Two agents received the same brief: build a native Mac clipboard manager. Both produced working software, but Nate B Jones’s comparison is really about what happens after the first result: testing, correcting, and evolving the product until it is genuinely useful.

Fable 5.1 designed **Ledge**, a narrow list that slides in from the right. GPT-6 Astra built **Shelf**, a bottom bar with cards, filters, and a preview pane. Those choices were not specified in the prompt. Seeing them implemented helped Nate discover his own preferences about access, interface density, and image handling.

Speed became decisive. Nate reached versions 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 with Astra in the time Fable took to deliver version 1.0. That made room to address issues found in real use: card alignment, a movable persistent panel, conflicting shortcuts, focus handoff, and visible confirmation after copying. The final build covers more than 65 checks and was packaged as a signed Mac DMG.

The conclusion is not that one model wins every task. Fable is used more for exploring a problem, developing a design, and thinking through structure.
